Last blog of the semester!
Here I am, with my last blog of the first semester in the US. I might have missed last weekend's post but sometimes I just don't feel like blogging. On Fridays, while going to Houston, I'm so exited to be home that I think I'll blog on my return. On Sunday's, by the time we leave, it's so dark that I start getting a headache straining my eyes on the keyboard, lit dimly by the light from the hanging laptop screen. But still, I believe I've done a fair blogging job this semester, haven't I???
Well, my semester ends 10 days from now, i.e. on Dec 10 2008. These 4 months have felt like 4 years! man, it was tooooooo busy and filled with activities. This time I had an extended weekend with Thanksgving holidays on Thursday and Friday. I left college station on Tuesday evening itself, having nothing to do on Wednesday. Although I did not go for any doorbuster deals during thanksgiving, waiting in long queues outside stores to get those few envied deals, I managed to get a couple of things that I wanted to online. Me and bro got a lappy for mumma, I got a new electric shaver for myself, got a 'dot com' domain for my website (only for a dollar!), magicjack adapters for mumma, cordless phone and a wireless router for bro, all very cheap. It's madness outside stores on thanksgiving eve and bro rightly suggested that it's not useful to stand in queues in the cold weather.
Well, on 11th December, my dad is coming to USA. Ain't that great? I've my final exams on 8/9/10 consequetively. I don't think I'll be able to get back in time to receive him at the airport. Anyway, I'll try to find a ride on 10th evening.
I watched Dasvidaniya a few days ago. Awesome movie man! I was almost crying at the end, especially when the song 'Mumma' was being played. Vinay Pathak rocks! And now I've seriously decided to prepare a long term to-do list for myself. Who knows what happens tomorrow? At least that will give my life some direction, which is going a little wayward at the moment. I left behind things that I liked, am doing those that Im not liking, and even this sacrifice won't guarantee me a stable path later. My actual trials will begin next semester when mom will be gone to India and I won't go to Houston frequently (don't want to trouble brother much with my frequent pick ups, drops).. Though he does not feel troubled at all, but I feel so.Oh ya, with the mumbai terror story closing down, actually, I wanted to write about that too but I thing this post is already too big. Pro'lly, next time!
